We’re excited to announce the release of PopTranslate 1.4, bringing one of the most requested features to our users: “Double CMD+C” instant translation.
This new shortcut makes it easier than ever to translate text while working on your Mac. Simply select any text, press CMD+C twice, and PopTranslate will instantly display the translation in a floating window. It’s quick, intuitive, and designed to fit seamlessly into your daily workflow.
How to Enable the Shortcut
- Open PopTranslate.
- Go to Preferences → Shortcuts.
- Under Translate Selected Text, choose Double Press ⌘C.
That’s it! From now on, translating text is just a double-tap away.
PopTranslate also includes a Popup Menu that lets you quickly translate, explain, or rewrite text directly after selection. You can customize its appearance, popup delay, and button style to fit your preferences.
And if you prefer not to use the popup menu, you can easily turn it off in Preferences → Enable Popup Menu by unchecking Enable Popup Menu.
More Improvements in 1.4
In addition to the new shortcut, we’ve made a number of performance and stability enhancements to ensure a smoother translation experience. Whether you’re reading, writing, or working across multiple languages, PopTranslate continues to focus on speed, simplicity, and reliability.
